Although I went to bed at the decent hour of 1 am, I could not fall asleep for a long long time, even despite the mild sound of rain.
So I was not entirely chuffed when my cellphone alarm rang at 9 am.
Half awake, I stayed in bed thinking about various potentially fruitful things that I could do today...until about 12 noon...
When I finally looked out of my window, using all the knowledge I gained about skies while living in the Caribbean for 25 years, I instantly decided that sky was a "snow sky".
Rushing to the window, I was not disappointed to find traces of snowfall on the nearby ...er... volcano.
I didn't enjoy the view for very long as someone rang my buzzer. I had hoped it was just that guy from the 3rd floor with the thick accent that always locks himself out. But, it was actually a book I ordered online.
Having no choice, I buzzed him in and tried to scramble for clothes and tie my hair into a ponytail.
However, I'm sure my look gives the appearance of having been out clubbing all night and right now I'll settle for even just the illusion of a social life.
I really didn't have much time to be bothered as it had started to snow. For FIVE WHOLE MINUTES. Five minutes of happiness, then the menstrual cramps started.
