Sorry about the footnotes, today my Shirota love was ..strong. Check back later next week, when I'm doing either Vol 11 and/or 23 of "How are you" and can't make out the kanji in the tiny scans and become filled with hatred.
But how could you not adore someone that is completely dorky, loyal, talented and ..loud... insecure...commitment-phobic..and likes to occasionally complain...occasionally. I'm really sorry I couldn't do more for today...hmmm....and I really hope he got laid today.

Summary: We all feel bad that Shirota's bday comes after Christmas. But due to Shirota frequently mentioning that his (and Shun's) birthday is ...OMG I forgot essency 's birthday was the day of his first solo live....December 26, he ends up with like 50 cakes, all of which he probably ate. Somewhere in Japan, Kaji is jealous.

Today, Rookies wrapped up.
I'm filled with emotion.
To be so (hot), serious and fun. It a warm place to be.
I'm am truly truly happy to be associated with this piece of work.
I definitely used up all of the strength I could muster.
So when this opens at the theatre, you must check out power-up Shinjo and the rest of Nikogaku heroes!!
The photo is with Sato-san who plays the role of the beloved Kawato-sensei, with a super smile.
Ryuuta-san is really a warm wonderful person. ☆ I love him. (^O^)

Today, Kiritani Kenta aka Kenny-aniki [1] finished shooting.
I wanted to be there to witness it [2], but, as I skillfully [3] got to the set without contacting the staff, there wasn't a person to be found. (laugh)
Regrettable. ～(>_<)
Then, after I reported this [4] to aniki by phone, he invited me, "I'm eating nearby, Yu should come along" [5]
So we were able to celebrate ☆ [6]
Aniki is a fun person to be around.
He's always funny ♪ (laugh) And he's very reliable.
He's definitely NikoGaku's baseball club's aniki. (☆＿☆)

[0] Aniki = older brother. So it's like "Big brother Kenny" Although it could be read as Kenny's aniki....

It's O-senbei [1]covered in chocolate.
(It's like) a dream-like Meiji and Kameda collaboration. (laugh)
The taste, it depends on your preferences, I like it.

I wonder if everyday will be lonely as Batista and Rookies have ended....I thought so, but, I don't have any free time at all.

Yesterday, when work ended, I went to see Tamoto-san's new house. Tamoto-san is someone I'm always indebted to.

And then while I went there to celebrate for this person, I got an early birthday surprise.

Tomorrow is the much awaited fanclub event.
This is my first event since I've graduated from D-Boys.
And it's my first solo fanclub event.
And and, this time it's in the format of a live!
My game face is on!! [1]
Everything has been planned, right down to the most minute details.
Of course, it's small but, all in order to bring pleasure to everyone.
Today was the last meeting and rehearsal.
Ah, by the way, the hall, the photography, the music players, they're all my choices.
So if you're not pleased, I'm sorry. (laugh)
Anyway, tomorrow, let's have a great time together. (^_-)-☆

Merry Christmas ☆

Yesterday, I had the most fun I've ever had.
People from all over the country came.
And people from South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong specially for this.

I'm truly grateful. I'm the most fortunate (person)!!
I received so many letter and presents. (>_<) I'll treasure them.
This time, only people that applied (beforehand) were able to come, to those that were not able to participate, I'm truly sorry.

If I could have, I (would have) wanted to have fun with everyone. [1]
however, after this, I absolutely want to have another one, (and) again, if you can, please participate.

I'm going to do my best to gain more merit until that time comes!!!

I'm still green, but, please continue to support me!!!

Today we recorded the commentary for the DVD.

This piece of work, really makes you think deeply on life. About how precious it is, how fleeting, how doctors hold life in their hands. It's deep.

During your normal everyday (routines), this isn't something that you think about.
It teaches that it's only after you lose something that you truly feel the lost.
While reflecting on (what it is to) "be alive" while teaching that it's pointless living unless you can get along (with others).
Not just as an actor, but, along the way Shirota Yu as one human being, this work became a learning experience.

I'm proud to be involved with this piece of work.
To all persons involved, thank you.
To everyone that looked over me as I played Himuro Kouichirou.

And (now), today is my birthday ☆ (laugh) [2]
When shooting was over I went to celebrate once again, I even got more presents.
I'm so truly truly grateful.
Recently, I've done nothing but say words of thanks. (laugh)

Yesterday was Shirota Yu's first fanclub event rehearsal.

This is his first solo event since graduating from D-BOYS.

He'll be singing his own songs along to accompaniment.
How many years has it been our dream to have a live-type event.

The photo is Shirota with his manager Nakane-kun with the PA system.

Everyone's preparing from scratch.

This isn't a lie, it's a no-frills event that we've been working on for months

By the way, yesterday's finale for Team Batista rating's were 16.5. That's wonderful ratings for a rating for a TV show!
A joyous occasion!!!
To everyone that watched, thank you! (I was one of the persons watching, I was really addicted to the show, it was such a good drama so i was all the more happy to watch)

Now about the show, just a quick quick report.
He sang a few of his songs, the ones from DD-boys, a Sweeney Todd song, not of Anthony's songs though.
He sang two new songs that he wrote, but, he didn't play his own guitar this time.
it seems he wrote happy love songs and not the regular "disappointed love" songs XD

EDIT: And it was a live so there was a VTR. It seems that they followed him around closely as they prepared "almost as thought it was Kaji-kun".
